Registration Fees

To encourage international participation, members (marked *) of the non-European societies listed below can register as members and receive the same benefits as members of ESB. The organisers have also given special consideration to young researchers with low registration fees for students.

As a member of any of these societies you can also register at ESB member rate providing you give the name of your Society. Reduced registration fees will only apply for members in good standing who have regularly paid their annual membership subscriptions. This will be crosschecked with the relevant society.

Note 1: To qualify for the student registration fee, an official letter from the head of training is required or other valid an acceptable proof of studentship status (e.g. Certificate of enrolment or copy of student ID card). Preferably, send these as an attachment by e-mail esb2010@tampereconference.fi or by fax to +358 3 222 6440.

Note 2: Daily rates are only valid for one day and will not allow entrance on other days.

Registration fees for participants (members, non-members and students) include:
- Lunch on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, September 12, 13, and 14
- Refreshments during session breaks
- Admission to all scientific sessions
- Free entrance to the commercial exhibition
- Conference materials
- Get-together cocktails on Saturday 11 September
- Opening ceremony on Sunday 12 September
- City Reception on Monday 13 September

Registration fees for accompanying persons include:
- Get-together cocktails on Saturday 11 September
- City sightseeing tour on Monday 13 September
- City Reception on Monday 13 September

The registration fee does not cover insurance or accommodation. Travel insurance is recommended by the organisers.

Terms of payment

All payments (registration fees, hotel deposits, and the social programme) should be made in advance in Euros. Payment must be received no later than the close of banking on the due date.

Two methods of payment are possible:

Make sure you give the participant's name in the bank transfer details. Please note that all payments should be net of any bank handling charges.

2. Credit card: VISA, Master Card or Eurocard are accepted.

Please follow the instructions given on the on-line form and proceed to payment immediately.

Note! Invoices will only be sent on request. An invoicing fee of EUR 15 will be charged.

Bank drafts as well as personal, company or traveller's cheques cannot be accepted.

Letter of Confirmation/Receipt

After receiving the registration form and payment Tampere Conference Service will send you a personal confirmation letter by e-mail.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation of any kind has to be made in writing (e-mail) to Tampere Conference Service Ltd. Please note that for organisational reasons refunds will not be made until after the Conference. All refunds will be made at the exchange rate applicable on that date. Neither the Organisers or the Conference Secretariat can be held responsible for any loss resulting from alterations in exchange rates. To receive your refund, please supply your full bank account details.

Cancellation of Participation

Registration fees are refundable with a deduction of EUR 100 for administrational expenses provided that participation is cancelled by 15 June 2010; a 50 % cancellation fee will apply to cancellations made between 15 June 2010 and 15 August 2010. No refund will be paid for cancellations made after 15 August 2010. There will be no refund for no-shows. Insurance to cover the loss of payment for registration fees and accommodation costs is recommended by the organisers.
